Saltbush is a relatively new, non-invasive addition to the landscape of the Turks and Caicos that is highly coveted for its natural salt-tolerance and ability to thrive close to the sea. Its native environment is along the coastline of the South-Eastern coast of the United States. Here in the Turks & Caicos, Saltbush flowers throughout the year with small whitish-yellow flowers. Saltbush can be grown and maintained as a uniform bush or grown as a standalone specimen.
A truly iconic palm native to the grasslands of Madagascar. The Silver Bismarck palm is known for its enormous silver-blue fan leaves that can grow to a width of 6ft. The tree can reach an overall height of over 50ft and under good growing conditions can grow 2-3 ft per annum.
Genetically it is identical to the Green Buttonwood as the silver tinge of its leaves is purely a variegation. Grows naturally as a bush but can be trained into a standard tree by pruning lower branches. Can withstand full sun and strong winds. Its silver leaves make it an attractive alternative to Green Buttonwood. Often used as a hedge.
A close relative of the Bottle Palm which is also from Mauritius; however, instead of having a swollen base, the Spindle has a swollen central trunk. Does well in the ground as well as in a container. Can be grown in slight shade but prefer plenty of sun, especially when grown in the ground.

It’s vibrant yellow flowers attract bees & hummingbirds to your garden, helping with the pollination of fruits and vegetables.
